Parison suction process

UMA.SH, “S” as in Suction and “H” as in High Temperature, is suitable to blow mold polyamide PA ducts near the motor, that are characterized by very high temperatures. Versatile and economical, the new technology privileges the automotive sector for the intrinsic characteristics of the blow molding process: suction of the 3D technical ducts of any shape freely developed in the 3 space dimensions or of any length.

Many are the advantages of the new blow molded piece with the suction process: absence of the characteristic longitudinal welding line; no risk of breakage; better uniformity of wall thickness.

The process does not generate flashes, but for the two, small superior and inferior domes because the parison suction is through an already closed mold, which means considerable saving of material and energy to be introduced in the mold clamping process and to recycle scraps into the production. The more the shape of the duct is complex or developed in 3D the more the saving will be.

The design foresees the possibility to process polyamide PA and combines the suction process to the sequential coextrusion to generate rigid-flexible-rigid ducts. If interfaced to a robot that feeds post work bench, the UMA.SH becomes a completely automated production island for finish operations as: welding inserts, cutting, drilling, reaming, etc.
