The combination of accumulator head and parison transfer in a single technology allows to get the advantages of both processes: the extrusion time is made independent from the cycle time, and the parison can be pushed out as slow as needed for a perfect thickness profiling, as fast as necessary to prevent it to sag.
This process is mostly advisable when you need a very long parison (for instance, to produce double cavity neck-to-neck open top drums) to be accurately profiled in thickness.
